Online Poetry Workshop with Two Sylvias Press (July & August sessions) ]]>Thu, 19 May 2016 22:26:56 GMThttp://twosylviaspress.com/blog/write-poems-be-inspired-get-feedback-online-poetry-workshop-with-two-sylvias-press-july-august-sessions
One thing we try to do at Two Sylvias Press is to listen to what our readers (and writers) want and need in their writing lives. One thing we heard this year, was that many poets wanted a more structured way to stay in engaged in their writing.

As poets ourselves, we know how easy it for life to take the best of you and for our writing to fall onto the backburner. To reverse this practice, we've created the Two Sylvias Press Online Poetry Retreat that you can do from the privacy of your own home.

Our goal for the Online Poetry Retreat is to keep you writing and motivated over the summer break.

We will send you weekly prompts, poems, inspiration along with a couple other surprises to help you get into the habit of living a poetic life.

The Online Poetry Retreat can be molded to fit your summer schedule. You can do the prompts all one day, or spread them out over the week. After the 4-week schedule, you email the Two Sylvias Press editors, Kelli Russell Agodon & Annette Spaulding-Convy, two of your poems and they will respond to them with feedback such as line-by-line edits and personalized response.

Because of this workshop element, this online retreat has LIMITED SPACE.

BUT poets of all levels, from beginning to published poet, are welcome to register. AND the retreat also includes a PRINT COPY of THE DAILY POET, a beautiful blank journal from the Two Sylvias Press Journalette series, and a free download of the Poet Tarot App for your iPhone or Android.

The Two Sylvias Press Online Retreat has JUST opened up for registration,
so if you're interested, here are the details below and here are the links to register for the JULY or AUGUST session.

<![CDATA[The Poet Tarot? There's An APP for That!]]>Wed, 02 Mar 2016 19:32:30 GMThttp://twosylviaspress.com/blog/the-poet-tarot-theres-an-app-for-that
There’s an App For That…

Some exciting news--

Two years ago, Two Sylvias Press created The Poet Tarot & Guidebook: A Deck of Creative Exploration to an extraordinary response. The cards are beautiful and high quality and we know many other creative people are interested in them. We want to extend our audience so more people could enjoy them. . .

so today we are thrilled to announce--

Two Sylvias Press has created The Poet Tarot App!

(And it’s available for both your iPhone or Android phone!)

Now while true tarot fans will still want to have the physical deck of The Poet Tarot, this app allows you to take creativity with you. . .all the time!

The app was created for anyone (poets, writers, painters, etc.) working on an artistic project or just when you need a little guidance, centering, or creative advice in your life. Just choose a card and read the meaning, it's that easy.

You don't need to know anything about tarot to find this app beneficial.

The app is easy to use--
Think about "What information do I need to know about my latest project?" or "What information would help me live my life more creatively?" Then choose a card. Select "View Meaning" and learn more about your card's insights to your creative quest.

Choose a Poet Tarot card each day, or when you work on a poem or project, or just when you need a little guidance in your creative life. There is no wrong way to use this app!

And you can buy either app (for less than a cup of coffee!) below:
