Kelly Cressio-Moeller was born in San José, California, where she has lived her whole life with exception of 4 years spent in Hamburg, Germany. She holds a BA degree in Humanities from San José State University where she also completed extensive graduate coursework in Art History. She is a poet, visual artist, and loves to play the drums. Her poems have been nominated for Pushcart Prizes, Best New Poets, Best of the Net and have appeared widely in journals and at literary websites including Crab Orchard Review, Escape into Life, Gargoyle, Guesthouse, North American Review, Poet Lore, Radar Poetry, Salamander, Tinderbox Poetry Review, THRUSH Poetry Journal, Valparaiso Poetry Review, Water~Stone Review, and ZYZZYVA, among others. She participates in numerous poetry readings throughout the Bay Area. Since 2015, she is an associate editor at Glass Lyre Press. She lives in the Bay Area with her husband, two sons, and their basset hound. Shade of Blue Trees is her first poetry collection.
